Are you in a difficult situation, and ever thought you just need to quit? In every person’s life it happens, a situation occurs and you feel just like giving up. We may get depressed and feel like we can’t go on any longer. Now I believe that is it the devil that makes us feel this way and wears us down. Well, did you know that Jesus can help us get through these hardships? Most people don’t realise but Christ gives us the strength to cope with all things. It says in the Bible, in the book called Philippians: chapter 4, verse 13, that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Paul the apostle who wrote this book, even though he was finding things hard, he continued faithfully doing the work God had told him to do, because he knew Jesus would strengthen him in everything he did.

As well as the devil oppressing us, did you know that he tried also to oppress Jesus? In the New Testament the devil kept tormenting Jesus by saying that if He was truly the Son of God, He could command stones to turn to bread, or even if He jumps off the top of the Temple the angels will protect Him. However Jesus rebuked him and said that you shouldn’t test God! (Matthew: 4 v7). Even though Satan tried many times to tempt Jesus, Jesus stood firm and resisted him. And this should be the same in our lives too. We should resist the devil and trust in God always. Don’t give up, don’t quit, trust in God, and He will help you!
